Repair and Return & Remanufactured Parts Policy and Procedures

Technical Customer Service will provide a repair and return service center, this service is rendered to all non-warranty issues. Upon receipt of a part, Tech Services will make every effort to repair and return the part within 24 hours. If part cannot be repaired and the customer is down, a remanufactured part will be sent to the customer. Standard turn around time is 48 hours and 24 hours for emergency repairs.
All R&R’s must have a RMA and PO# which covers at least $75.00. The PO should accompany the RMA #. If, during the repair, the cost exceeds the $75.00 the customer will be called and informed of the difference in cost. If the cost approaches the cost of a remanufactured part, the customer will be offered the opportunity to purchase a new or remanufactured part. ($75.00 will take care of the 1st ½ hour of labor and administration costs. Additional labor is chargeable at $45.00 per hour plus any parts used. No manufacturer or distributor discount.)
Remanufactured parts are parts that Unitec Electronics manufactures. These parts, if available, will sell for 60% of the list price of the part. The individual manufacturer or distributor will get their discount on top of that price.
Warranty Parts
Unitec Electronics guarantees new equipment against defects
in materials and workmanship for the specified warranty period, and agrees to
repair or replace at its sole expense in accordance with the following terms
and conditions:
An RMA number issued by Unitec Technical Services must accompany
all returned parts. The Serial Number of the unit must be supplied at the time
of the RMA being issued.
The Warranted part, when received, will be inspected and tested to determine the cause of the failure.
Equipment being returned for credit may be assessed a 15% restocking fee. Parts being returned for credit will be evaluated to ensure that it is acceptable for credit. (i.e.- complete assembly, no damage, etc.).
